Utterly disorienting for Robin and Percy to learn that Brand X‘s own John Goodsall was “friends” with his managers.

Defining the word “friend” these days is almost as thorny a mission as defining the word “lies”. What’s a lie? Is it mendacious or perfidious? Duplicitous or deceitful? Was John even aware of this friendship?

The things John told us about the businessmen who handled his money were never kind, but then, we only shared a band with him since 1975. But now, those same critters recently took to social media in an apparent claim that, while John Goodsall was dying, intubated, in a Minnesota hospital, he found just the right inclination to pen his will (in their favor, no less) under the watchful gaze of a (no doubt appointed) notary public — we’re guessing…

Percy and Robin are gobsmacked, befuddled, and all at sea with these perplexing claims because the John they knew was sending different signals…  Can John Goodsall’s emails shed a light on his views of the short-lived Brand X management episode, leading up to his untimely demise in 2021? Needless to say, as lifelong friends, John and Percy were always on the same page, about all that Jazz, and anything else for that matter.

But it’s quite something to see it in writing, isn’t it? Like a signature on a contract… Perhaps it’s a “first draft” of that testament we’re hearing so much about. Who can tell? With John, who does know? Let us know what you think.
